Therese

Certified Postpartum and Infant Care Doula
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
NICU RN

Therese is the oldest of four children and always thought she’d be a mom to four of her own– until she experienced postpartum anxiety after struggling to help her firstborn eat and sleep. This left a profound personal and professional impact on her and changed the way she works and parents.

As a Registered Nurse with 8 years of NICU experience and 2 years of high risk OB and postpartum experience, it wasn’t hard for her to pivot her career toward infant feeding. She became an IBCLC in 2015 and finally felt like she was where she was meant to be.

Providing the care she wishes she’d had in place as a new mom brings Therese great fulfillment and meaning. She specializes in oral motor assessment and latch issues, but knows that emotional support is just as important as informational support in the postpartum period and strives to offer both in her lactation consults.

Upon first impression, some may say Therese is quiet and reserved. But those who know her well know that she loves to talk about all things pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, parenting, gluten-free baking, outdoor learning, and reading.
