Kayla K.

Certified Birth & Postpartum & Infant Care Doula
Certified Reproductive Health Doula

Kayla is adaptive and empathetic. There is nothing that fills her more than learning about new people and how to best support them through their transition to parenthood.

Having become a mother after infertility and through adoption, Kayla knows what it is like to be the pregnant parent and the non-pregnant parent. Both of her daughters were NICU babies as well. This experience gives her understanding and depth to not only pregnancy and birth, but waiting and growing families in a multitude of ways.

Kayla is the wife of an active duty airmen and understands the importance of having a village to lean on when family isn’t nearby. The Air Force lifestyle has made her adaptive and resilient, while instilling a deep love of supporting other parents who may not live close to family.

Kayla is also a lifelong learner and former elementary educator. She has continuous education in topics such as attending a Spinning Babies workshop, breastfeeding through allergies with Free to Feed, lip & tongue ties, and VBACs through Evidence Based Birth. She is currently enrolled in the Mom2Mom MiLC Lactation Program to become a lactation counselor. Kayla also has her B.S. in Elementary Education, with a minor in Language Arts, and a Deaf studies concentration.

When Kayla is not doula-ing, she is maxing out her phone’s storage space taking pictures of her two daughters and cooking with her husband
