Kari

Certified Postpartum & Infant Care Doula
Certified CPR & First Aid

In addition to her family, Kari loves two things; helping people, and… BABIES!

Until learning about becoming a doula, Kari wasn’t clear on how her two passion based interests could or would merge into a dream career for her. A nudge from her sister, a Certified Nurse Midwife, became the catalyst she needed to go from stay-at-home mom, to Certified Postpartum Doula.

Kari took her Postpartum & Infant Care Doula Training and her blurry vision, instantly came into focus.

Always interested in the medical field, Kari set her personal goals aside to raise her family. 14 years later, timing, and ambition came together, and she set her sights on caring for postpartum families, and their precious newborn babies.

To say that manifesting this career is a dream come true, is an understatement!

Kari acknowledges that being a new parent is a tough job and believes that no one should have to do it alone. She encourages pregnant, and newly postpartum parents to reach out for help.

“There is no dishonor in asking for help when you truly need it. In fact, it is a gift to others to be able to provide that support. Those first few months can be

tiresome, frustrating and often… lonely. It is expected that you might feel overwhelmed. You may have passing thoughts like, “Am I enough? Am I capable of this? Am I doing what’s best for my baby?” This is all normal. Really! Just don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Whether the help you need is from a family member, a friend, or a professional doula, you should seek the support you desire, and allow yourself to do so guilt-free.”

Kari’s husband David of nearly 15 years has proudly served in the Air Force for 17 years. The couple have 3 children; their oldest daughter, Madison who is 13, youngest daughter, Avery who is 10, and everyone’s favorite little brother, 5 year old Ryan.

When not busy nurturing her own family, or a client’s, Kari enjoys the outdoors; she loves to fish! You can also find her baking, crafting, or curled up with a good book. Her family spend tons of time outdoors, often in their swimming pool! They have recently begun fostering puppies which is fun for the whole family.
