Certified Birth  Doula
Certified Postpartum and Infant Care Doula

With deep-seeded childhood aspirations of becoming the mom of a large family, Kayla always imagined that birth and the days, weeks, and months that followed would be filled with peace, comfort, and ease. After
college, where she earned a Bachelors of Arts in International Studies, Kayla met an amazing man, married him, and began building a family. It wasn’t until her own postpartum recovery period following the birth of
her third child that Kayla had a life-changing epiphany…

Moms need more…

They need more nurturing, more guidance, and definitely more support. Kayla, who had financial security, a loving home, and a very supportive extended family still found herself challenged by the transition that comes with each tiny new family member. She knew she could not be alone in these feelings. It was during this time that she realized her passion for supporting families through birth and early parenting. Kayla, driven by this new found passion, set out to become a doula. She trained and certified as both a birth
doula and postpartum doula through Madriella, and began applying all that she learned.

Kayla recognizes how complicated decision making can be for expectant families and has dedicated herself to maintaining the
highest standards regarding evidence-based birth, and early parenting information. She reminds her clients regularly to take it one moment at a time and show themselves grace during each phase of the journey.

Kayla’s proudest personal achievement lies in the strength she’s found within herself as she raises her family.

“The relentless nature of parenthood can be very overwhelming at times and motherhood has shown me an inner strength that I didn’t know I possessed.” – Kayla
