Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula
Certified CPR & First Aid

My work as a doula started when a friend simply asked me to support her during her birth. Being in the military with no family near, she felt safe for me to hold space for her, and I was absolutely honored to be that person for her. I didn’t know it then, but that was the moment my passion for birth and supporting mothers and families was born. It wasn’t until the personal experience of having my own children did I fully comprehend how direly essential doulas are to the health and well being of mothers and families. My work started in 2011 and I have been supporting mothers and families in some sort of capacity ever since.

Being a military spouse who has had two children in two different continents, I absolutely understand how hard it is to not have help when you need it most. More importantly, how important it is to have nonjudgemental help. I believe that having support with absolutely no judgement behind it is incredibly essential to the mental health of first time and first time again mothers. I also understand how hard it is to ask for help when you need it, or to recognize that you need help at all. With my own experience with postpartum anxiety and depression, I feel strongly that moms and their babies need that someone to take the initiative to get them help, when the people surrounding them are

either too tired to recognize the signs, or don’t understand what’s happening.

In my personal time, I am kept busy by my two beautiful children and a lab puppy (my third child). I have been blessed to live around the world and travel just as much. I enjoy cooking, gardening, being outdoors and practicing yoga. I’ve done a lot of things in my lifetime, but none of them speak to my soul the way being a doula does.
